UK PM in ICU

Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has been moved from a regular hospital bed to the ICU.

Update:

The UK's National Health Service reports that the survival rate for males in Johnson's age group is 54% once they have been admitted to the ICU. It is reported that he is not currently on a ventilator (although Russian sources were reporting that this morning).

I have been researching this since yesterday, but I can find no record of the leader of a country succumbing to a communicable disease since the Spanish Flu in 1981-20.
